N : The security code protects

your phone against unauthorised
use and is usually supplied with the
phone.
The name of a serv-
ice provider will ap-
pear if you are in
the service area of a
cellular network
which supports your SIM card.
Check that the signal strength bar on
the left side of the display is at least
partly shown.
If any other than the "General" user
environment (profile) is selected, the
name of the profile is displayed. See
also "Profiles (Menu 3)" on page 40.
The phone can make and receive calls
only when
•
it is switched on
•
it has a valid SIM card fitted
•
it is located in the service area of
a cellular network where your SIM
card can be used. See also "Net-
work selection (Menu 4-4-5)" on
page 46.
•
the signal strength is adequate.
