Congratulations for choosing this Nokia phone! This chapter describes how to make your
first call and gives a hint on the wealth of features that the phone offers.

Making Your First Call

With the battery removed, insert the
SIM card (for details, see page 12).
Install and charge the battery (see
page 13).
Switch on your phone by pressing and
holding
(see page 14).
If the phone asks for the PIN code,
key it in and press OK.
To change the language of the dis-
play texts, see "Language (Menu 4-
4-1)" on page 44.
Wait until the operator name appears
on the display.
Key in the area code and phone number
and press

After the conversation, end the call by
