INSTALLING THE PRO CUT II™ HEAD TO THE LINE
TRIMMER HEAD
See fi gure 5a
■ Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire.
■ Remove the installed line head.
■ Install the Pro Cut line trimmer head on the drive shaft
until fully seated.
■ Install the spool retainer and turn counter clockwise
■ Install cutting line as described in the next section in
this manual
INSTALLING THE LINE IN THE PRO CUT II™ HEAD
See fi gure 5b
■ Use monofilament line diameter 2.7 mm. Use original
manufacturers replacement line for best performance.
2.4 mm Line is not compatible with the Pro Cut head.
For the head to secure the line safely 2.7 mm line must
be used.
■ Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire.
■ Remove old line by pulling it from the holes located on
the top of the line head.
■ Gather two of the pre-cut lengths of trimmer line
provided or cut two pieces of trimmer line (in 28 cm
lengths).
■ Insert the line into the LOAD slots located on the
sides of the line head. Line should be pushed in until
approximately 2 cm protrudes from the holes on the
top of the line head.

CONVERTING
FROM
BRUSHCUTTER
See fi gure 5-6.
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, always
stop the engine and remove the spark plug wire before
making any adjustments such as changing cutting
heads.
REMOVING THE REEL EASY LINE TRIMMING HEAD
■ Open the Reel Easy Line Trimmer Head by
depressing the latches on each side. The contents
of the line trimmer head are spring loaded, so keep
your other hand over the line trimmer head cover while
depressing the latches.
■ Remove the bump head cover, bump knob, line spool
and spring and set them aside.

■ Use the hex-shaped opening on the inside of the bump
knob to remove the hex bolt on the drive shaft in a
clockwise direction and set aside.
■ Remove the cutting head housing.
■ Align the slot in the upper flange washer with the hole
in the gear head. Insert the holding pin through the slot
in the upper flange washer and the hole in the gear
head. Using the 16 mm socket wrench supplied, turn
the drive shaft adaptor clockwise to remove it from the
gear shaft. Remove the upper flange washer from the
gear shaft and retain for blade installation.
■ Remove the grass deflector by pushing in on the three
locking tabs while pulling on the grass deflector to
separate from the blade guard.
NOTE: Store the line trimmer head parts and grass
deflector together for later use.
REMOVING THE PRO CUT II™ TRIMMING HEAD
■ Unscrew the spool retainer (clockwise).
■ Pull the Pro Cut trimming head away from the shaft.
■ Align the slot in the upper flange washer with the hole
in the gear head. Insert the holding pin through the slot
in the upper flange washer and the hole in the gear
head. Using the 16 mm socket wrench supplied, turn
the drive shaft adaptor clockwise to remove it from the
gear shaft. Remove the upper flange washer from the
gear shaft and retain for blade installation.
■ Remove the grass deflector by pushing in on the three
locking tabs while pulling on the grass deflector to
separate from the blade guard.
Installing the blade
■ Place the upper flange washer over the gear shaft with
the hollow side towards the blade guard.
■ Centre the blade on the upper flange, making sure

the blade sits flat. Install the cupped washer with the
raised centre away from the blade. Install the blade
nut.
■ Place the holding pin through the slot in the upper
flange washer and the hole in the gear head. Using
the 13 mm wrench supplied, turn the blade nut
counterclockwise and tighten securely.

Removing the blade
■ Place the holding pin through the slot in the upper
flange washer and the hole in the gear head. Turn the
blade nut clockwise to remove.
■ Remove the cupped washer and the blade.
■ Remove the upper flange washer from the gear shaft
and retain for later use.
■ Using the combination wrench supplied, tighten all 3
