ASSEMBLY
ATTACHING THE POWER HEAD TO THE TRIMMER
ATTACHMENT
See fi gure 1.
■ Follow these steps to connect the attachment to the
upper shaft.
■ Loosen the knob by turning it counterclockwise.
■ Align the button on the attachment shaft with the guide
recess on the upper shaft.
■ Slide the attachment shaft into the upper shaft until the
attachment shaft clicks into place.
■ Tighten the knob securely by turning it clockwise.
Removing the Attachment from the Upper Shaft.
Follow these steps to remove the attachment from the
upper shaft.
■ Loosen the knob by turning it counterclockwise.
■ Push the button while pulling out the attachment.
SETTING UP THE HANDLE
See fi gure 2.
1. Fully loosen the knob.
2. Lift and rotate the handle to the desired position,
making sure the alignment arrows are aligned.
3. Tighten the knob securely.
NOTE: The product has a built-in micro-switch that
deactivates the engine if the knob is not fully tightened,
and the alignment arrows are not properly aligned.
Check the knob for tightness periodically to avoid
serious injury.
ATTACHING THE SHOULDER HARNESS
See fi gure 3.
■ Connect the latch on the shoulder harness to the
harness hanger.
