Checking the swaspalate:
a.
Make sure that the throttle stick on the Tx is in the off (lowest)
position. Turn on the Tx. position the all the trimmers in their
neutral (centered) positions.
b.
Connect the battery to the model; ensure that the polarity of
the connection is followed.
c.
After the gyro and Rx have initialized ensure that the
swashplate is horizontal to the ground, and parallel to the tail
boom. Likewise ensure that the swashplate returns to this position after control commands are given to the channels
that regulate pitch and roll.
2.
Adjusting the swashplate position. If you have determined that the swashplate is not in the correct position, correct
it as follows:
a.
Make sure once again that the motor is disconnected from the model.
b.
Check the position of the servo arms. Turn the Tx and Model on; wait for the initialization process to be completed.
Using the GEAR toggle remove the motor start safety. Move the throttle stick to the midway position. Ensure that the
trimming levers are in the neutral positions. Check that the servo arms are perpendicular to the lengthwise axis of the
servos. If the servo arms are not in the correct position, loosen the screw that holds the servo arm in place. Reset the
servo arm so that it is perpendicular to the lengthwise axis of the servo case and lock it into place by tightening the
screw back into place.
c.
Adjust the pushrod length: carefully remove the ball link from the swashplate. Rotate the plastic connector on the
pushrod clockwise or counterclockwise to lengthen or shorten the pushrod length as desired. Once you have properly
adjusted the length of the pushrod, connect it back to the swashplate.
d.
The adjustments have been done double check that the swashplate is in the correct position and that it returns to
this position once following input commands to the pitch and roll
control channels.
3.
Checking that the pushrods are parallel:
a.
Make sure once again the that motor is disconnected from the
model
b.
Turn the Tx and model on. Wait for the initialization process to be
completed. Using the GEAR toggle, remove the motor start safety.
Move the throttle stick to the central position. Ensure that the
trimmers are centered.
c.
Move the Flight Mode toggle to 3D (towards oneself ).
d.
Position the flybar parallel to the tail boom and ensure that the
pushrod to the pitch mixer, and the flybar frames are parallel
when the main blades have a pitch of 0 degrees as shown in the
illustration. If they are not parallel correct this by adjusting the
length of the corresponding pushrods.
4.
Checking the Main Rotor Blade Pitch:
a.
Make sure once again that the motor is disconnected from the
model.
b.
Turn the Tx and Model on. Wait for the initialization process to be
completed. Using the Gear toggle remove the motor start safety.
c.
Move the throttle stick to the minimum position (all the way
down). Make sure that the Flight Mode toggle is in the NOR
position. Place the flybar parallel to the tail boom.
d.
The pitch of the main rotor blade should be -2° as illustrated. If
this is not the case adjust the pitch using the V1 dial. (see the
section "Programming the Tx" in this manual.)
e.
Move the throttle to the maximum (all the way up) position.
f.
The pitch of the main blade should be +9° to +11°. If this is not
the case use the V2 Dial to adjust the servo travel to achieve this
pitch. (see the section "Programming the Tx" in this manual.)
ATTENTION!!! The above adjustments should only be done
by an experienced modeler or by qualified service center personnel.
