Setting and using the oven programmer/timer Selecting manual operation mode After your appliance is connected to your mains supply for the first time, the numbers on the timer display will flash. Before you can select a cooking function or set a temperature, you must set the appliance into manual operation mode.
Setting the minute minder function You are able to set the minute minder at any time, regardless of whether an oven function has been selected. You can set a period of time using the minute minder function and an alarm will sound when this period of time has elapsed.
o A few seconds after all buttons have been released, the cooking time will be set. The auto cooking symbol (1) and the oven in use symbol (2) will appear on the display. o Once the set time has elapsed, an alarm will sound and the oven will automatically switch off.

BO622SS There are four functions available on your appliance: OVEN LIGHT: Separate light control which allows the light to be switched on, even when the oven is switched off. HALF GRILL: This method of cooking utilises the inner sections of the top element, which directs heat downwards onto the food.

This function is suitable where quick browning is required and “sealing” the juices in, such as steaks, hamburgers, some vegetables etc.
Adjusting the alarm volume If the oven alarm is too loud or quiet you can adjust the volume level accordingly. o When the oven is not in use, press the manual operation button (6). This will enter the volume adjustment mode where you can choose from 3 sound levels.
o IMPORTANT: You should pre-heat the oven if you are baking no matter what oven function you are using. o If there is no guidance given on the food packaging specifically for cooking in fan oven mode, you can generally reduce the cooking time and temperature by 10% from the information given for conventional oven cooking.
o The drip tray handle should not be left in position when the appliance is switched on. o Warning: Accessible parts may become hot during use. Young children should be kept well away from the oven when it is in use.
Any damage that is caused to the appliance by a cleaning product will not be fixed by Baumatic free of charge, even if the appliance is within the guarantee period. Removable oven roof liner o Your appliance is supplied with a roof liner, which should be slid over the top of the grill element.
Removing the inner door glass for cleaning o Do not use any abrasive cleaner that could cause damage. o Remember that if the surface of the glass panel becomes scratched, this could lead to a dangerous failure. o To facilitate cleaning, the inner door glass can be lifted out.
Care must be taken to ensure that the temperature of the mains supply cable does not exceed 50°C. o If the mains supply cable is damaged, then it must be replaced by an appropriate replacement which can be obtained from the Baumatic Spares Department.
Reversing the door of your appliance IMPORTANT: This operation must be only carried out by a suitably qualified person. o It is necessary to disconnect the oven from the mains before executing the operations described. o The oven door can be attached on both sides of the appliance.

o This will release the top of the oven door from the frame. o While supporting the oven door, slide the lower hinge bolt from the block to the release position. This will detach the oven door from the appliance. o Rotate the oven door upside down so the handle is on the opposite side.

o Reattach the oven door on the opposite side by slotting the lower hinge into the hole at the base of the oven frame and then attaching the top hinge.

o When the oven door is securely in position, you should slide the top and lower hinge bolts from the release to the block position. This will firmly attach the door to the appliance. o You can rotate the setting screw if you need to adjust the position of the oven door to ensure the door is parallel with the front panel.
Installing the oven into the kitchen cabinet Fixing the oven into a cabinet o Ensure that the aperture that you will be fitting the oven into is of the size given in the above diagram according to whether the appliance is being built-in or built-under a work surface. o Ensure that the rear panel of the furniture housing unit has been removed.

o Ensure that the oven has been securely fixed into the housing unit. The fixing of the oven into the housing is made by using four screws. These should be screwed through the oven cabinet and into the housing unit.
My appliance isn’t working correctly o The oven isn’t coming on. * Check that the oven is in manual operation mode. * Check that you have selected a cooking function and a cooking temperature. o There appears to be no power to the oven and grill. * Check that the appliance has been connected to the electrical mains supply correctly.
