    2 Please read this first Dear customer, This quick start manual describes in a simple way the most important connection options and the basic operating steps required to enable you to quickly start operating the MultyVision 32 ISIO, MultyVision 40 ISIO or MultyVision 46 ISIO. Please also ensure that you comply with the notes on safety provided under section 2 of the instruction manual on appropriate use, operation, power consumption in standby mode and during operation as well as on transporting and cleaning the television.

    4 Basic operation Dear Customer The following section starts by covering basic operation as well as recurring operating steps for the TV. This should make it easier to read the instruction manual, since it avoids repeated description of identical steps at each individual stage. If it is necessary for a function or setting for the TV to be different from the basic operation, the difference in operation is described in detail at the relevant point in the instruction manual.
  • Page 14 4.2 Calling up the main menu and navigating through the menus / functions The following example will illustrate how you reach the main menu and call up a submenu. The objective of the example is to call up the Picture settings menu. >...

    4.3 Accepting settings / Exiting menus and functions In some menus and functions the changes made must be accepted manually in order to save them permanently. If this does not happen, the function or the values that existed before the change was made will be reset automatically on exiting the menu. If an Accept field or the green function key with Accept is displayed in the bottom line of the screen, you can see that the changes made must be saved manually to be accepted.

    4.5 Options selection In some menus and operating modes (e.g. TV mode, music/images playback etc.), you have the option of calling up additional functions and options via the options selection function. > Press the Options button to open the options selection function in the lower right- hand corner of the screen.

    5 Initial installation On initial installation of the TV, the AutoInstall installation wizard starts automatically. Using the installation wizard is the simplest way for you to create the most important settings for your TV. The initial installation process shown here serves merely as an example. The exact process for the initial installation will depend on the settings you select.

You can change the selected display mode again to whatever you want after AutoInstall, in Settings > Picture settings. With the natural and intensive display modes, pay attention to the message and confirm with OK.

A window opens with details of the encryption types and network name (SSID) and a field for entering the network key. If the network key has already been entered and saved, this is indicated with multiple stars in the display.

    TV must be connected to the home network/DSL router via either LAN or WLAN. Internet access provides you with various Internet functions such as unrestricted browsing, use of interactive services, video on demand and the new ISIO Live TechniSat service portal.

If, for example, you are using the TechniSat ISIOControl keyboard (part no. 0001/3850) and mouse navigation has been enabled under section 5.3.7 of the quick start manual, you can also use the so-called trackball on the keyboard to control the cursor on the screen, designed to make Internet use considerably more convenient.

    7 Operating the DVR The DVR function (DVR = Digital Video Recorder) means you no longer have to use an external recorder (e.g. video or DVD recorder) to record programmes, as you can use this function to record them to the internal hard disk. DVR recordings of programmes can be made from sources such as DVB-S, DVB-C, DVB-T and analogue CT as well as the external sources A/V (front) and EuroAV.
