Supplying DC Power to an
External Device
The BC-L160 supplies DC power of up to
100 W to an external device.
While supplying DC power, the unit cannot
charge a battery pack attached to battery
pack attachment section 1. It is possible to
charge battery packs attached to battery
pack attachment sections 2 to 4.

Plug the AC power cord into the AC IN
connector and connect the other end of
the cord to an AC power outlet.

Plug the DC power cord into the DC
OUT connector and connect the other
end of the cord to a DC input connector
of an external device.

Set the CH1 mode selector to DC.

Press the ? side of the POWER switch.
"DC" appears on the display, and
charge indicator 1 lights in red.
Checking the Battery
Capacity
The BC-L160 can check the capacity of a
battery pack by charging it fully,
discharging it (the power is about 25 W),
and calculating the capacity based on the
discharging time. Then the capacity is
shown on the display.

Plug the AC power cord into the AC IN
connector and connect the other end of
the cord to an AC power outlet.

Attach a battery pack to be checked to
battery pack attachment section 1.

Set the CH1 mode selector to CHECK.

Press the ? side of the POWER switch.
"CHECK" appears on the display, and
checking begins. Charge indicator 1
flashes in red while checking.
When the battery back is fully recharged,
checking of a battery pack ends, and charge
indicator 1 lights in green.

• The value shown on the display depends
on the operating environment and/or
temperature, and it may differ from the
actual value.
