Modeling Illumination
CLS-compatible flash units emit a modeling flash when the camera Pv
button is pressed. This feature can be used with Advanced Wireless
Lighting to preview the total lighting effect achieved with multiple flash
units. Modeling illumination can be turned off using Custom Setting e5
(Modeling flash; 0 343).

modes.

1 Flash mode is automatically set to TTL and shutter-release is disabled. Set
flash unit to A (non-TTL auto flash).
2 Autofocus is available with AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED and
AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED lenses only.
3 Available when camera is used to select flash mode.
