Circuit Operation Description
5) Chopper Circuit (Vamp: 12V-16V, D12V, D6V)
[Function Description]
A variable output voltage type chopper IC (SI8050S for D12V-D16V, 6V; SI-8120S for 12V) is used to composite
the circuit.
The circuit behavior of both IC is the same. The D12V circuit is explained as an example.
Turns ON/OFF the built-in transistor located between Pins 1 and 2 of the IC to output the variable (0 ~ 15V)
voltage, and then L8041 & C8042 rectify to drop the voltage.
The constant voltage regulation resistor divides the output voltage and is detected at Pin 4 of the IC.
[Protection Features]
-Over Current Protection
The built-in over-current protection circuit is activated around 3.1A.
-Overheating Protection
A built-in overheating protection circuit is employed.
