Overload Clutch
If the drill bit jams or edges, the drive to the
drill spindle is interrupted.
Due to the arising forces always hold the
machine firmly with both hands and
provide for a secure stance.
Drills with Cylindrical Shafts
With the key or keyless chuck (optional acces-
sory) and the associated adapter (optional acces-
sory), tools with cylindrical shafts can be
mounted.
Set the mode selector switch 6 to the
"Drilling" position (only when the ma-
chine is stopped).
Clean and lightly grease the adapter shaft.
Insert the assembled chuck with twisting into the
tool holder until it latches. The chuck locks itself.
Check the locking by pulling on the chuck.
Screwdriving (GBH 2 DSR)
For screwdriving, the universal bit holder with
SDS-plus shaft (optional accessory) must be
used.
– Set the direction of rotation to right rotation.
– Control the speed with the On/Off switch 4.

Sharpening Chisels
Good results are only achieved with sharp chis-
els, therefore sharpen the chiselling tools regu-
lary. This prolongs the service life of the tools and
ensures good working performance.
Re-sharpening the Chiselling Tools
Sharpen chiselling tools using grinding wheels
(e. g. ceramic bonded corundum wheel) with a
steady supply of water. Recommended values
are shown in Fig. C. Take care that no annealing
coloration appears on the cutting edges, other-
wise the hardness of the chiselling tools will be
impaired.

Sawdust Vacuuming
The machine can be plugged directly into the re-
ceptacle of a Bosch all-purpose vacuum cleaner
with remote control starting. The vacuum cleaner
starts automatically when the machine is
switched on.
Dust Extraction Attachment
Mount the dust extraction attachment (optional
accessory) and connect the vacuum cleaner. The
dust extractor springs back to the predetermined
drilling depth. In this manner, the dust extractor
head is always held near the surface.
English - 4
Heat the chisel to between 850
and 1050 °C (bright red to yellow)
and forge.
Heat the chisel to 900 °C (bright
red) and quench in oil, then an-
neal in an oven for approx. one
hour at 320 °C (annealing col-
our = light blue).
The dust extraction prevents
large collections of dust, keeps
the breathing air free of dust and
makes disposal easier.
