Adding access point for Wi-Fi
tethering

From the Home screen,
"Settings" → "More settings" →
"Tethering and portable hotspot" →
"Portable Wi-Fi hotspot"

If the message is displayed, tap Confi rm
details of notes → "OK".

Tap "Network SSID" fi eld and input
the network SSID
• By default, "AndroidHotspotXXXX" is set.

"Security"
Select a proper setting from "Open", "WPA
PSK" and "WPA2 PSK".

Tap "Password" fi eld to enter password
Password is not required if you set "Open" in
"Security".

"Save"
Information
• The default setting is "WPA2 PSK".
• While connecting via Wi-Fi tethering, in the
Portable Wi-Fi hotspot screen, "Confi gure"
→ Mark "Hide my device" → Tap "Save" to
disconnect the connected wireless LAN
device. Unmark "Hide my device" → Tap
"Save" to reconnect.
