CONTROL UNIT F AILURE ANALYSIS

To prevent repeated exchanges of control units due to failures in auxiliary components (circulation pumps,
inlet valves, etc.), a simple check on the control unit should be done to determine what cause the failure.
If any of the control unit components listed below or the conductive pattern (copper foil on the soldering
side) near these components are damaged, most likely the external component caused the failure and
should be ohm-measured. In the case of short-circuits, the components should be exchanged along with
the control unit.
External Component
Heater
Drain pump
Circulation pump
Inlet valve 1
Inlet valve 2
Combi-dispenser
Fan and wax motor
Interior light
Note:
Once the was motor has dried out, it is not possible to measure for faults. Remove the wax
motor and check for burn marks. For complete certainty, replace the wax motor.
