When you install your oven, make sure there is adequate ventila- tion for your oven by leaving at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space behind, and on the sides of the oven and 20 cm (8 inches) of space above the oven and 85 cm (33 inches) of the floor.

    Types of Heating The following chart summarizes the various heating modes and settings avail- able on your oven. Use the Cooking Guides in the pages that follow to determine the appropriate mode and setting for all your recipes.     Using Microwave Mode (Continued) Microwave Cooking Guide GENERAL GUIDELINES Food Suitable for Microwave Cooking Many kinds of food are suitable for microwave cooking, including fresh or frozen vegetables, fruit, pasta, rice, grains, beans, fish, and meat. Sauces, custard, soups, steamed puddings, preserves, and chutneys can also be cooked in a microwave oven.
