HARGER AND
SOLATOR
Your Cobalt is equipped with a charging system. Anytime your boat is connected to
shore power or the optional generator is running with the appropriate switches at the
cabin panel energized, the battery charger will operate and keep both batteries fully
charged.
In addition, the system includes an isolator system, protecting the occupants of the boat
and people in the water around the boat from danger should an electrical malfunction
occur at the dock side power connector. Please consult your Cobalt Dealer for further
information in reference to these isolators.

The Windlass system gets it's power from the ship's electrical system (12 VDC) via a
control panel located in the starboard side storage compartment of the cockpit next to
the battery switches. The knob on the panel must be depressed to energize the system
denoted by the indicator light on the panel. The windlass can be operated at the driver's
helm (indicator light must be illuminated) or from the foredeck. There are foot operated
switches located under the anchor locker door.
The Windlass system can also be operated manually. In the anchor locker on the
foredeck, you will find a crank housed in a storage pouch on the aft bulkhead of the
locker. Please consult the operator's manual supplied with the Windlass system for
proper operation of the system in the electric and manual modes.

The air-conditioning system operates only on 110 VAC and will not operate unless the
boat is connected to shore power or the optional generator is running. With the boat
connected to shore power or with the optional generator running, it is necessary to
energize the 110 VAC system at the cabin control panel and turn on the appropriate
switch marked "air-conditioning". The controller for the air-conditioning is in the cabin
on the starboard side in the area of the cedar lined closet. Please consult the owner's
manual supplied with your Cobalt referencing the operation of the air-conditioning
system. Note: This is a heat pump system and will not only air-condition the cabin, but
also supply heat on cold days. Marine air-conditioning heat pump systems must be
winterized for proper storage.
