The Remote Control Handset AvediaPlayer Receivers can be controlled using the Exterity Infrared (IR) remote control handset. Inserting Batteries The batteries for the IR Remote Control are shipped separately. If the batteries in the remote control stop working, they should be replaced with two AAA sized replacements. Ideally use carbon zinc (R03) replacement batteries.

Programing the Remote Control Handset Five buttons on an Exterity remote control handset V5 can be reconfigured to directly control a TV. Several methods are available to configure the remote to control a specific TV. Each method is triggered by a special key-press. An overview of the programing features and the corresponding key press is shown in Table 1, with more details in subsequent sections.

Chapter 3: Programing the Remote Control Handset General • When you start a programing feature, the Standby LED on the handset turns on to indicate this. • When you enter a valid key press sequence in Programing mode, the Standby LED blinks in confirmation.

Chapter 3: Programing the Remote Control Handset To select a brand search: 1 Ensure the TV is turned on. 2 Press and hold 1 and 3 together for a minimum of 3 seconds and the Standby LED turns on. 3 Release the key(s). 4 Enter the 4-digit code for the brand.

Chapter 3: Programing the Remote Control Handset Note: Only digit keys are allowed. When a digit is pressed, the LED turns off for the duration of the key-press with a 150ms minimum. Any other key press will result in an invalid sequence. Note: If the first digit is 9, the remote handset expects the Manufacturing Reset codes (page 11).

Chapter 3: Programing the Remote Control Handset Note: No blinks indicate a zero. There is no confirmation blink to complete this process as it may be confused with a code-set number blink. A value of 9999 indicates no programed code-set. Any deviation from the 1, 2, 3, 4 sequence is seen as an invalid key press.
