Before You Call For Service...

Troubleshooting Tips

Save time and money! Review the charts on the following
pages first and you may not need to call for service.
Problem
Control signals after
entering cooking time
or delay start
Food does not bake
or roast properly
Food does not
broil properly
Clock and timer
do not work
Oven light does
not work
Possible Causes
You forgot to enter a bake
temperature.
Oven controls improperly set.
Rack position is incorrect
or the rack is not level.
Oven thermostat needs
adjustment.
Oven door is open.
Oven controls improperly set.
Improper rack position
being used.
Food being cooked
in a hot pan.
Cookware not suited
for broiling.
In some areas the power
(voltage) may be low.
A fuse in your home may be
blown or the circuit breaker
tripped.

Light bulb is loose or defective. • Tighten or replace the bulb.
Pad operating light is broken.
What To Do
• Press the Bake pad and desired temperature.
• See the Using the oven section.

• Close the door. This model is designed for closed door
broiling only. Always broil with the door closed.
• Make sure you press the Broil Hi/Low pad.
• See the Broiling Guide.
• For best results, use a pan designed for broiling.
Make sure it is cool.

• Preheat the broil element for 10 minutes.
• Broil for the longest period of time recommended in
the Broiling Guide.
• Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
