How to Steam Food
1. With the measuring cup provided, put 2 cups of water into the pan.
2. Place the steaming basket into the pan.
3. Place the pan into the body.
Place food into the steaming basket. (Place the food in separate dish if required)
NOTE: If the outer surface of the pan is wet, it may cause a crackling
noise as the rice cooker heats up. This may damage the rice
cooker, ensure that the pan is dry before placing the pan into
the body.
4. Close the outer lid until it clicks.
Please make sure that the steam cap is properly attached.
Attach the connector to the rice cooker socket and plug to the
power supply source. Press the switch button to cooking
function. The cooking indicator will light up.
NOTE: • If outer lid is not securely closed, steaming
effi ciency will be affected.
• Do not plug the power cable into the unit until
you are ready to begin the cooking process.
• If the Pan is not placed in the body correctly,
the switch button will not work when pressed.
• Press the select switch to 'Rice' before
pressing the switch button to cooking function.
5. The required steaming period must be manually judged by checking the condition of the food during the cooking
process from time to time.
* This rice cooker will automatically switch to keeping warm when the water inside the pan becomes empty.
* Open the outer lid slowly to avoid water dripping out from the outer lid.
6. When steaming is completed, turn off the rice cooker by switching off the
power supply source and unplug,
The keeping warm function continues until the power supply source is
switched off.
7. Take the food out, followed by steaming basket, and fi nally pour out the water from the pan.
Remarks
Beware of steam coming from the steam cap before you open the outer lid.
When the unit is used to cook rice and steam food at the same time, do not cook more than 5 cups of rice and
do not open the outer lid until the rice is cooked.
(It is better to select a food that has a steaming time that is equal to the amount of rice you are cooking.)
