Warning and safety Instructions

The more refrigerant there is in an appliance, the larger the room
it should be installed in. In the event of a leakage, there is a danger
of combustible gases building up if the appliance is in too small of a
room.

The amount of refrigerant contained in the appliance is stated on the
data plate inside the appliance.

To avoid the risk of damage to the appliance, make sure that the
connection data (fuse rating, frequency and voltage) on the data
plate corresponds to the building's electricity supply.
Check that this is the case before connecting the appliance. When
in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.

The electrical safety of this appliance can only be guaranteed
when it is properly grounded. Compliance with this essential safety
requirement is absolutely necessary. If in any doubt, please have
the building's electrical system tested by a qualified electrician.

If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by an
authorized Miele technician in order to protect the user from harm.

Do not use a power strip or extension cord to connect the
appliance to the electric power supply. These are a fire hazard and
do not guarantee the required level of appliance safety.

Do not use the appliance in areas where there may be moisture
or splashing water (e.g. garage or utility room).
Moisture can reach live components or the electrical connection and
cause a short circuit.
