Using Phone Menus
0. Bluetooth
TM
The VX8100 is compatible with devices that support the
Bluetooth headset and hands-free profile(s) * . You may
create and store 20 pairings within the VX8100 and
connect to one device at a time. The approximate
communication range for Bluetooth wireless technology is
up to 30 feet (10 meters).

Read user guide of each bluetooth accessory that you
are trying to pair with your phone because the
instructions may be different.
Access and Options
1. Press
[Menu].
2. Press
2 times to select [Settings & Tools].
3. Press
Bluetooth.
4. Select a submenu.
Paired Devices, Power, My Visibility,
My Bluetooth Name and My Bluetooth
Info.
Phone does not support Bluetooth OBEX Profiles.

0.1 Paired Devices

Pairing is the process that allows the handset to locate,
establish and register 1-to-1 connection with the target
device.
For pairing new Bluetooth device
1. Press
[Menu],
Set the desired device to pairing.
2. Follow the Bluetooth accessory instructions to set the
device to pairing mode.
3. Press Right Soft Key
and press
.
4. If Bluetooth is set to off, you will be prompted to turn
power on. Select Yes
5. The device will appear in the Found Devices menu
once it has been located. Highlight the device and
press
.
6. The handset will prompt you for the passkey. Consult
the Bluetooth accessory instructions for the
appropriate passkey (typically "0000" - 4 zeroes). Enter
the passkey and press
