15.5.2 Arm Alarm for Monitor

The instruction below can be used to arm an individual alarm on
the monitor currently 'controlled' by the keyboard:
1.
Press ALARM and verify the indicator lights above the key.
2.
Key in the alarm number to be armed using the numeric
keypad.
3.
Press ON.
EXAMPLE: ALARM 2 ON
The above example will arm alarm number 2. The monitor status
display will show a "'CA" (camera/alarm armed) whenever a
camera whose alarm is armed is selected.
15.5.3 Disarm Alarm for Monitor
This instruction disarms an individual alarm on the monitor
currently 'controlled' by the keyboard.
1.
Press ALARM and verify the indicator lights above the key.
2.
Key in the alarm number to be disarmed using the numeric
keypad.
3.
Press OFF.
EXAMPLE: ALARM 2 OFF
The above example will disarm alarm number 2 on the current
monitor.
15.5.4 Arm All Alarms for Monitor
The following steps will arm all alarms on the monitor currently
'controlled' by the keyboard:
1.
Press USER and verify the indicator lights above the key.
2.
Press ALARM and verify the indicator lights above the key.
3.
Press ON.
EXAMPLE: USER ALARM ON
The above example will arm all alarms on the 'controlled'
monitor.
15.5.5 Disarm All Alarms for Monitor
The following steps will disarm all alarms on the monitor
currently 'controlled' by the keyboard.
1.
Press USER and verify the indicator lights above the key.
2.
Press ALARM and verify the indicator lights above the key.
3.
Press OFF.
EXAMPLE: USER ALARM OFF
The above example will disarm all alarms on the 'controlled'
monitor.
15.5.6 Arm Monitor
The following steps will arm the monitor currently 'controlled' by
the keyboard. This will then permit cameras for armed alarms to
be automatically displayed when an alarm occurs.
1.
Press USER and verify the indicator lights above the key.
2.
Press MONITOR.
3.
Press ON.
EXAMPLE: USER MONITOR ON
The above example will arm the monitor. currently being
'controlled' by the keyboard. Note: Alarm video will appear on a
given monitor only if the monitor is armed and the alarm is
armed for that monitor. The monitor status display will show a
"MA" (monitor armed).
15.5.7 Disarm Monitor
The following steps will disarm the monitor currently 'controlled'
by the keyboard. This will then prohibit the monitor from
responding to alarms.
1.
Press USER and verify the indicator lights above the key.
2.
Press MONITOR.
3.
Press OFF.
EXAMPLE: USER MONITOR OFF
The above example will disarm the monitor currently being
'controlled' by the keyboard.
15.5.8 Acknowledge Alarm Signal
The ACKNOWLEDGE key is provided so that system users can
respond to alarms from the keyboard. If a logging printer is
attached, this acknowledgment will be printed.
Pressing ACKNOWLEDGE while the keyboard is beeping due
to an alarm condition will silence the beeper. In the predefined
"SEQUENCE and DISPLAY" alarm response mode, subsequent
presses of the ACKNOWLEDGE key will clear alarm video from
the monitors. If the monitor's alarm sequencer is running, it must
be stopped (with the HOLD key) before video can be cleared in
this manner. Alarm video cannot be cleared using the
ACKNOWLEDGE key in the predefined "BASIC" or "AUTO-
BUILD" alarm response modes. The behavior of the
ACKNOWLEDGE key can be reprogrammed at will with the
optional LTC 8359/00 Master Control Software or the LTC
8850/00 Graphical User Interface software packages.
1.
Press ACKNOWLEDGE twice.
EXAMPLE: ACKNOWLEDGE (beeper is silenced)
ACKNOWLEDGE (video is cleared)
The above example demonstrates the user's response to an
alarm condition.
