CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE SIREN - CLOSING REMARKS
9.0 CARE & MAINTENANCE OF THE SIREN
1. Battery backup test procedure:
It is recommended that the condition of the
rechargeable batteries is checked every six
months. This is carried out as follows:
Remove the rubber grommet covering
the key switch on the back of the siren.
Using the siren key, turn the key switch
to the "TEST" position as marked on the
siren casing (Ref fig 2). The siren must
sound.
Keep the key switch in the "TEST"
position for approximately 10 seconds.
The siren must continue to sound until
the key switch is returned to the "ON"
position.
Replace the rubber grommet to protect
and cover the key switch.
Suzuki cannot guarantee defence against theft of the vehicle and/or goods contained therein and is not liable
for losses or damage to your vehicle. Please ensure compliance with insurance cover directives.
2.
Caution: When steam cleaning
the engine bay ensure direct hosing
onto the siren is avoided.
3.
Ensure the rubber grommet is
always placed over the key switch.
