Please read this instruction carefully. It contains impor- 15.
tant information on safety, installation, use and mainte- 15.
nance of the Electric ventilation unit.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for prob- 15.
lems occurring when the following instructions are not
adhered to. The appliances must only be used for the
function intended.

Delivery, Packaging, Recycling

The packaging of your high- 15. q uality OLSBERG Electric
ventilation unit has been limited to the minimum neces- 15.
sary for safe transport and is made entirely of recycla- 15.
ble materials.
The packaging and appliance parts have been marked
according to present requirements and/or possibilities
to allow the best possible disposal or recycling at a fu- 15.
ture date.
Packaging materials, replacement parts and appliances
or components to be scrapped must all be disposed of
correctly according to regulations.
Disposal of old heaters
Old electric and electronic devices often con- 15.
tain valuable materials. But they may also
contain harmful ingredients which were nec- 15.
essary for their function and security. In nor- 15.
mal waste disposal or incorrect treatment they
could be harmful to the environment. Please
help to protect our environment! Please do not
add your old heater to normal waste in any
case. Dispose of your old heater according to
the local regulations.
Instructions
for the Installer

Positioning and Installation

• The electrical installation of this appliance must be
carried out by an approved electrician or by trained
personnel.
• Local safety regulations must be adhered to.
• In bathrooms, the Electric ventilation unit is to be po- 15.
sitioned in such a way that the electrical switch and
retractable rotary knobs cannot be touched by some- 15.
one in the shower or bath. In humid rooms, the appli- 15.
ance may be installed in Protection area 3 (according
to VDE 0100, Part 701).
• Make sure that the exterior grille on the fresh air and
exhaust air ducts are regularly cleaned. Installing the
appliance under a window aids this considerably.

Procedures to be followed

Following safety standards are to be adhered to at both
planning and installation stages:
• VDE 0100
(Construction of high- 15. v oltage installations up to 1000 V)

Choosing the position

The Electric ventilation unit is designed to be mounted
on an external wall, as the fresh- 15. a ir and exhaust- 15. a ir
ducting must be run to the outside. Preferably, a posi- 15.
tion under a window should be chosen.
The wall must be able to take the weight of the appli- 15.
ance. Please, therefore refer to the weight given in the
"Technical Data" section. If there is any doubt as to the
strength of the wall, consult an expert.
