Maintenance Chart

Please note that the following maintenance intervals apply for normal operating
conditions only. If your daily working time is longer than normal or cutting conditions are difficult
(very dusty work area, tropical wood, etc.) shorten the specified intervals accordingly.

Chain oil tank
Chain lubrication
Saw chain
Guide bar
Chain sprocket
Air filter
Cooling inlets
Cylinder fins
Carburetor
Spark plug
All accessible screws and nuts
(not adjusting screws)
Rubber vibration buffers
Spark arresting screen in muffler
Chain catcher

Visual inspection (condition, leaks)
Clean
Check operation
Check operation
Have cleaned by STIHL dealer

Clean, replace filter element

Inspect, also check sharpness
