Operating Instructions

A. Before Lighting Appliance
Before operating this appliance, have a qualifi ed techni-
cian:
Verify all shipping materials have been removed from
inside and/or underneath the fi rebox.
Review proper placement of logs, rockwool, lava rock and
vermiculite.
Check the wiring.
Check the air shutter adjustment.
Ensure that there are no gas leaks.
Ensure that the glass is sealed and in the proper
position.
Ensure that the fl ow of combustion and ventilation air is
not obstructed (front grilles and vent caps).

Asphyxiation Risk
Glass door MUST be in place when appliance
is operating. Do NOT operate appliance with
glass door removed.
Open viewing glass for servicing only.
Glass door MUST be in place and sealed
before operating appliance.
Only use glass doors certifi ed for use with
the appliance.
Glass replacement should be done by
qualifi ed technician.

operation and cool down.
Keep children away.
CAREFULLY SUPERVISE children in same room as
appliance.
Alert children and adults to hazards of high
temperatures.
Do NOT operate with protective barriers open or
removed.
Keep clothing, furniture, draperies and other
combustibles away.
This appliance has been supplied with an integral
barrier to prevent direct contact with the fixed
glass panel. Do NOT operate the appliance with the
protective barrier removed.
Contact your dealer or Hearth & Home Technologies if
the barrier is not present or help is needed to properly
install one.
WARNING
Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service
or maintenance can cause injury or property damage.
Refer to the owner's information manual provided with
this appliance. For assistance or additional information
consult a qualifi ed installer, service agency or the gas
supplier.
WARNING
Do NOT use this appliance if any part has been under
water. Immediately call a qualifi ed service technician
to inspect the appliance and to replace any part of the
control system and any gas control which has been
under water.
