    G270 SERIES B - VENT GAS APPLIANCE Determining the Ignition Type. To determine whether your appliance is an Electronic Ignition or a Standing Pilot ignition, remove the Lower Panel or Hearth Assembly to examine the wiring system. If your system has a Red Ignitor Button (as shown in Figure 1), you own a Standing Pilot Millivolt Ignition fireplace.
