Passenger's front airbag and child
restraint systems
To fit a child restraint system on the
passenger seat, ALWAYS comply
with the instructions on the label stuck
on both sides of the sun visor
(fig. 14).

WARNING
SEVERE DANGER:
when an active passenger
airbag is fitted, DO NOT
install rear facing child
restraint systems on the
front seats. Deployment of
the airbag in an accident could
cause fatal injuries to the baby
regardless of the severity of the
collision.
WARNING
When an active passenger
airbag is fitted, DO NOT
install rear facing child restraint
systems on the front passenger
seat. Always deactivate the
KA00220m
passenger airbag when a rear
facing child restraint system is
installed on the front passenger
seat. The front passenger seat must
also be positioned back as far as
possible in order to prevent the
child restraint system from coming
into contact with the dashboard.
Immediately reactivate the
passenger airbag as soon as the
child restraint system has been
removed.
MANUAL DEACTIVATION OF
FRONT AIRBAG AND SIDE BAG
ON PASSENGER'S SIDE
(where provided)
Whenever a child needs to be carried
on the front seat, the passenger's front
airbag and front side bag (where
provided) must be deactivated.
When the car is collected the
device is always active and the
passenger airbag cannot be
deactivated. For the first
deactivation go to a Ford
Dealership, in order to have the
deactivation function enabled. To
deactivate the passenger's front
airbag and the side bag (where
provided) refer to paragraph
"Multifunction display" in the
"Knowing your vehicle" section.

OFF warning light in the
dedicated panel on the dashboard stays
on constantly until the passenger's front
airbag and the side bag
(where provided) are re-activated.
