Setup and connection

Setup location

• Select a stable, level base.
• Make sure that the environment is
clean and free from dust.
• Avoid placing the unit close to sourc-
es of heat or in direct sunlight.
• Arrange the connector cables so that
they do not pose a trip hazard.
• Do not place any heavy objects on
top of the cables or the unit.

Record player

Most record players are equipped with
a magnetic removal system (MM – "mov-
ing magnet"). Dynamic systems (MC –
"moving coil") systems, which are often
more expensive, require more amplifi -
cation.
• Connect the audio output of your
record player with the corresponding
input jacks of the preamplifi er:
2 "MC" – dynamic system,
4 "MM" – magnetic system.

The jacks are coloured:
white "L" – left sound channel,
red "R" – right sound channel.
If your record player still has to be
connected with a DIN plug, you will
need an RCA plug adapter, which

you can purchase at a qualifi ed tech-
nical outlet.
• Push the switch 3 "MC – MM" to the
position of the input in use.

• If your record player has a ground
connection, connect it with the ground
connection 7 using the enclosed earth
cable
