VN-NVR/Workstation/Kollector VN-SAN Setup Quick Manual In addition to the label shown above, the VN-SAN unit has serial number labels on the right side of the chassis attached to the outside and inside of the unit (see below) from the manufacturer. Verify that the serial number matches the drives and other equipment.

VN-NVR/Workstation/Kollector VN-SAN Setup Quick Manual Configuring a ViconNet NVR for VN-SAN RAID Storage The DVR, NVR and VN-SAN RAID are usually preconfigured from the factory. If the units are not preconfigured or you have to make changes, you will need to perform the following procedure. Note: You must register ViconNet on NVR units.

However, you must add at least one drive to the storage database prior to deleting the internal drive. If any other internal drive is listed, contact Vicon Technical Support, as this indicates a problem has occurred with the system configuration.

Note that this only deletes the drives from the storage database and will not affect system operation. 7. Add the other available RAID drives from the VN-SAN unit until all of the drives are listed.
