Assembly
Battery Charging (see figure A)
The battery is supplied partially charged.
To ensure full battery capacity, completely charge the battery (at least 3–
5 hours) before using for the first time.
The Lithium-Ion battery can be charged at any time without reducing its
service life. Interrupting the charging procedure does not damage the bat-
tery.
The "Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)" protects the lithium ion battery
against deep discharging. When the battery is discharged, the power tool
is switched off by a protective circuit.
After the automatic shut-off of the power tool, do
WARNING
not continue to press the trigger. The battery could
become damaged.
A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period does not de-
velop its full capacity until after approx. 5 charging/discharging cycles.
When the battery charge-control indicator 2 lights up red during opera-
tion, the battery capacity is below 30% and the battery should be
charged.
– Plug the mains plug of the battery charger into a socket outlet and the
charger plug 8 into the socket 4 on the rear side of the handle.
The battery charge-control indicator 2 indicates the charging progress.
The indicator flashes green during the charge procedure. The battery is
completely charged when the indicator lights up green continuously.
