Description
This option specifies whether the MEBx Hotkey function should be
enabled when the system boots.
•
Enable MEBx Hotkey (Default Setting)
This option can speed up the boot process by bypassing some
compatibility steps.
•
Minimal – Reduces boot time by skipping certain hardware and
configuration initialization during boot.
•
Thorough – Performs complete hardware and configuration
initialization during boot. (Default Setting)
•
Auto – Allows the BIOS to decide configuration initialization
performed during the boot.
This option creates an additional pre-boot delay. This allows the user to
see POST status messages.

Description
This option specifies whether a Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) can
utilize the additional hardware capabilities provided by Intel Virtualization
technology.
•
Enable Intel Virtualization Technology (Default Setting)
Enables or disables the Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) from utilizing the
additional hardware capabilities provided by Intel Virtualization
technology for direct I/O.
•
Enable Intel Virtualization Technology for Direct I/O (Default
Setting)
This option specifies whether a Measured Virtual Machine Monitor
(MVMM) can utilize the additional hardware capabilities provided by Intel
® Trusted Execution Technology. The TPM Virtualization Technology,
and Virtualization Technology for Direct I/O must be enabled to use this
feature. This option is disabled by default.
