SkyDrive and Office work together
When you sign in with a Microsoft account, your docs are saved on SkyDrive (by default) so that you can access
them from anywhere—your computer, phone, or the web. Saving Office docs on SkyDrive also makes it easy to
share and work with other people. (If they don't have Office, they can use free

Lync
Lync connects people everywhere as part of their everyday productivity experience. Lync provides instant
messaging, voice, video, and a great meeting experience. There are two versions of Lync available for Surface Pro:
Lync app. Free app from the Windows Store

Lync 2013. Desktop app that can be purchased with an Office suite

Important Microsoft Lync requires Lync Server or an Office 365/Lync Online account.
OneNote
OneNote is a digital notebook for all of your notes and information. You can create to-do lists, add pictures, and
format notes with tables, bullets, and colors. When you sign in with a Microsoft account, your notes are saved in
the cloud so that you can access them from your computer, phone, or the web.
You can use either of the following apps on Surface:
OneNote app. Free app from the Windows Store

OneNote 2013 app. Desktop app that can be purchased with Office or separately

You can add and edit notes using either OneNote app. You can also use OneNote on your phone, so that you
can view and edit your notes on the go. (OneNote apps are available for Windows Phone, Android, and the
