Occasionally you get a retrofit installation where only one CAT5 wire has been run to a room, and there’s no way to run another one. In this case, locate the MFSPOE-8 in the Utility Room, Garage, or wherever the central distribution point for the Network is located and install standard network switches in rooms where you plan to locate a DMS-1200, DMS-100 or SNP-1.
