Starting a seam

Placefabricunderpresserfoot½"(12mm)from
rearoffabric.Aligntherightedgewithoneofthe
seamguidelinesontheneedleplate.Lowerthe
presserfoot.
Backstitch to the edge of the fabric for
reinforcementbypushinginthereversebutton,
locatedthecenterofthestitchlengthdial.Hold
buttoninuntilstitchingreachesedgeoffabric.
Releasepushbuttonforforwardstitching.
Guidingand
supportingfabric
Mostfabricsneedonlytobeguidedinfrontof
thepresserfoot.Somefabrics,however,require
supportwhilebeingstitched.
• For tricot, and other similar syntheticknits,
applygentletensionbyholdingthefabricat
thefrontandbackofpresserfootasyousew.
Donotpullfabric.
• For elasticizedfabric,stretchlace,andknits
withanunusualamountofelasticity,holdthe
fabricfirmilyinfrontandbackofthepresser
foot tostretch the seam as the stitchesare
beingplaced.
Sewinginreverse
Tosecuretheendofaseam,pushinthereverse
buttonandbackstitch3-4stitches.Raiseneedle
andpresserfootandremovefabricbydrawingit
tothebackandleft.Cutthreadonthreadcutter
onpresserbar.

estnécessaire,déplacezleboutond'équilibrage
toutencousant.
• Déplacez le bouton vers la droite pour
desserrercorrectementlespoints.
• Déplacez le bouton vers la gauche pour
resserrerlespoints.
