Installing the Cables

The 48-port 10/100 media module has four CAT-5 telco connectors,

commonly referred to as RJ71. Each telco connector supports 12

Ethernet or Fast Ethernet connections. The cables and patch panels

listed in Table 3 are qualified for use with the 48-port module. When

you configure the 48-port module for 100 Mbps (100Base-TX), you

must use CAT-5 cables and patch panels. Each 48-port module

requires four cables and one patch panel.

Install appropriate cables for your network configuration and patch

panel. Table 3 lists the Avaya 525 cable assemblies and patch panel

product numbers and codes.
