WAN (Wide Area Network)
A communications network that covers a
wide geographic area, such as a
community, city, state, or country. A WAN
is a network spread over multiple
locations. The Internet is a global WAN.

wireless networking A network without
physical cabling. Wireless networking
encompasses different standards of which
HomeRF is one. In a wireless network,
data is passed between devices using radio
frequencies.
WWW (World Wide Web) A system of
servers that operate over the Internet. A
browser is used to follow hyperlinks
within and between Web sites. Documents
formatted in HTML are supported. See
