Operation

Connecting
Prior to connecting, check both the power cord and the socket. If both are intact, you
may plug the cord to the 230V socket according to the regulations.
Warning! We advise you to remove the device from the socket after each use. If you do
not intend to use the unit for a longer period of time, it even more recommended to do
so. I n case the power cord is damaged, always ask for professional assistance!

How to start?

There is a function switch on the side of the unit with three positions:
1)
„Steam" sign: for steaming
2)
Middle position: Off
3)
„Espresso" sign: heating water
Important! The function switch should be turned fully in both "Steam" and "Espresso"
mode, otherwise the valves might stay closed and the steam might activate the safety
valve.
Important! Before the first use – or after a long period without using the appliance –
run a warm wash with clear water only. Operate the machine as you were making coffee
with water only. Repeat this for a few times waiting 5-10 minutes for the device to cool
down in between washings.

Making Coffee

Follow these simple steps to make an espresso:
1)
Remove the cap of the water tank by twisting it counterclockwise.
2)
Fill the tank with clear water; you find the 2-cups and 4-cups sings on the jug. Make
sure the jug is clean as pollution may clog the device. Never use more water than
what the 4-cups sign allows!
3)
Put the water tank cap back on; do not lock it too tight!
4)
Place the filter in the filter holder then fill it with the required amount of coffee.
The measure can be found inside the filter; do not use more coffee than what the 4-
cups sign indicates!
5)
Put the filter holder in its place; make sure the marks are overlapping.
6)
Place the jug the way its top suits the mouth of the filter holder.
7)
Power up the device then turn the function switch to "Espresso" position. The
control lid lights up promptly.
8) Water starts boiling in a short while and it runs through the filter and into the jug.
9)
Wait until all the water ran through the filter then switch off the machine.
In order to release the remaining steam from the machine thus reducing the inside
pressure (e.g. if you intend to make coffee again), place a suitable pot right under the
steam pipe, remove the plug from the power socket, turn the function switch to "Steam"
