Problem solving guide

Some minor problems can be corrected without contacting Miele. The following
overview is designed to help you resolve these yourself.
If having followed the suggestions below, you still cannot resolve the problem,
please contact Miele.
To prevent unnecessary loss of temperature it is advisable not to open the
appliance while waiting for it to be serviced.
Unauthorised installation, maintenance and repairs can cause considerable
danger to users. Installation, maintenance and repair work must only be
carried out by a Miele authorised technician.
Problem
The appliance is not
getting cold. The
interior lighting
does not come on
when the door is
opened and the
display is not lit up.
The appliance is not
getting cold
although the interior
lighting and the
appliance appear to
be working
normally.

Possible cause
The appliance has not
been switched on.
The plug is not inserted in
the socket correctly.
Check whether the mains
fuse has tripped. If it has,
there could be a fault with
the appliance, the
household electrical wiring
or another electrical
appliance.
Demo mode is activated
and the symbol r appears
in the display. This allows
the appliance to be
displayed in the showroom
without the cooling system
being switched on. Do not
activate this setting for
domestic use!
Remedy
^ Switch the appliance on.
The display should then
light up.
^ Insert the plug in the
socket correctly and
switch on. When the
appliance is switched off
the mains connection
symbol t appears in the
display.
^ Contact a qualified
electrician or Miele.
^ Contact the Service
Department to find out
how to deactivate Demo
mode on your appliance.
