To Switch The Refrigerator Section Off Separately; Switching Off For Longer Periods Of Time - Miele KFNS 37232 iD Operating And Installation Instructions

Switching off
^ Press the main On/Off button on the
right hand side of the control panel to
switch off the freezer section and the
refrigerator section.
The freezer section and the refrigerator
section will switch off. If this does not
happen, the safety lock is still activated
(see "Customising Settings -
Deactivating the safety lock").
To switch the refrigerator section off
separately
The refrigerator section can be
switched off without having to switch off
the freezer section. This is useful e.g.
whilst on holiday.
^ Press the On/Off button on the left
hand side of the control panel until
the display goes out.
The interior light and the temperature
display for the refrigerator section will
go out and the refrigerator section will
switch off.
The temperature display for the freezer
section will remain lit up.
Switching on and off
To switch the refrigerator section on
again
^ Press the On/Off button on the left
hand side of the control panel to
switch on the refrigerator section.
The refrigerator section temperature
display will light up. The refrigerator
section will start cooling. The interior
light will come on when the door is
opened.
Switching off for longer
periods of time
If the appliance is not going to be used
for a longer period of time, e.g. whilst
on holiday:
^ switch the appliance off,
^ disconnect it from the mains,
^ clean the appliance out and
^ leave the doors ajar to air it.
If, during a long absence, the
appliance is switched off but not
cleaned out and the door is left shut,
there is a danger of mould and
odours building up inside the
appliance.
