The maximum voltage applied to this jack must never exceed 15 volts. Typical uses for this jack would be to control the FOXPRO Black Jack or Jack-Attack Decoy, or to start and stop a video recorder. Instructions on connecting various devices to the “AUX” jack are beyond the scope of this manual.

4-3 External Speaker Control The Scorpion X1A has the ability to control the external speakers with the TX200 transmitter. With the remote, you are able to turn the speakers off and on. This can give you a huge advantage when you are playing a stereo audio file where you can turn off one of the speakers therefore turning off one of the channels of the audio file.

    5. Scorpion X1A Configurations The following image shows the inside of the Scorpion X1A. There are several configuration settings that you can modify by repositioning the jumper associated with each configurable element. 5-1 Mono/Stereo Selector The factory default mono mode is best for most situations. This mode combines both right (A) and left (B) audio channels and delivers the combined sounds to the internal speaker and both external speakers.
  • Page 13: Normal (Repeat)/Jukebox Mode

There is a second mode called jukebox mode that will enable the Scorpion X1A to play sounds sequentially. Jukebox mode is ideal for those who elect to download and play conventional MP3 music files.

If you feel that you have a real reason to change the card, please contact FOXPRO customer service for advice. 6. Batteries & Recharging For optimal performance and run times, we recommend high capacity 2300 mAh NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) rechargeable cells rather than alkaline types.

    9. Product Care & Maintenance In order to help get years of trouble free service with your FOXPRO game call, it is strongly recommended that you read and understand the following points. Many of these are considered proactive or preventative.
  • Page 23: Troubleshooting

The most common problems are battery related. Before performing anything else, try installing fresh batteries. When your batteries get low, in either the Scorpion X1A or the TX200 remote, unexpected operation can occur. You can experience such things as loss of audio quality, loss of remote control range, and other abnormal results.
  • Page 24: Maximizing Remote Range

Try to elevate the caller off of the ground by approximately three feet. This can • greatly maximize your overall remote control range. Try to avoid situations where the Scorpion X1A is placed at a lower elevation than the • remote control—the caller should always be higher.
  • Page 25: Fcc & Ic Information

If you are using the Scorpion X1A remotely from a long distance, be sure to allow • enough time for device reaction before sending multiple signals. For example, if you request a sound change, consider the amount of time from radio transmission from the remote to the Scorpion X1A until that signal is turned into a change in operation that you are able to perceive.
