Blocks an individual channel from being watched.

To watch the channel, select "Allow".
On with Indicator Automatically reduces the picture noise. The signal level bar
is displayed when the channel is changed or the display is
changed from an input screen to a TV programme.

Automatically reduces the picture noise.
Off
Turns off the "Intelligent Picture" feature.
To preset a channel, press PROG +/– to select the programme number, before
selecting "Label", "AFT", "Audio Filter", "Skip", "Signal Booster" or "Colour
System". You cannot select a programme number that is set to "Skip" (page 38).

Presets programme channels manually.

Label
Assigns a name of your choice to the selected channel. This
name appears briefly on the screen when you select the
channel.
To input characters, follow steps 2 to 4 in "Programme
Labels" (page 37).
AFT
Allows you to fine-tune the selected channel manually if you
feel that a slight tuning adjustment may improve picture
quality.
When "On" is selected, fine tuning adjustments are made
automatically.
Audio Filter
Improves the sound of individual channels when distortion
occurs in mono broadcasts in TV system "B/G", "I" and
"D/K".

• You cannot receive stereo or dual sound when "Low" or
"High" is selected.
Skip
Skips unused channels when you press PROG +/– to select
channels. To select channels you have programmed to skip,
use the corresponding number buttons.
Signal Booster
Improves the picture quality if the TV signal is too strong or
weak. Press F/f to select either "Off" if the signal is too
strong (picture distorted; picture with lines; signal
interference) or "Auto" if the signal is weak (snowy picture),
then press
Colour System
Selects the colour system ("Auto", "PAL", "SECAM",
"NTSC3.58" or "NTSC4.43") according to the channel.
Signal Level
Displays the signal level for programme currently being
watched.

Press F/f to select the programme number you want to
manually tune (if tuning a VCR, select programme 0),

Press F/f to select "TV System", then press
Press F/f to select the best received TV broadcast
systems, then press

Press F/f to select "Frequency", then press
Press G/g to search for the next available channel. The
frequency band ("VHF Low", "VHF High" or "UHF")
is changed accordingly.
