Getting Started

Assemble the Interwrite Pens

The Interwrite Pen is an electronic pen that sends
positional signals to the Interwrite Panel's electromag-
netic digitizer to control cursor movement. The two
buttons on the black Pen barrel provide additional
mouse-like cursor control. The lower button, the one
closest to the Pen Tip, acts as a double-click when you
press it. The upper button provides right-click capabil-
ity.
Replace Pen Battery
The Interwrite Pen is powered by a single AAA battery.
The following instructions describe how to insert the
batteries that shipped with the Pens.
1
Unscrew the Pen, separating the black end with the
Pen Tip from the silver barrel. If needed, remove
and dispose the old battery.
2
Insert a AAA battery into the silver cradle with the
positive pole (the + end with the protruding button)
pointing toward the Pen Tip.
3
When the battery is in place, screw the two Pen
halves back together.
Each Interwrite Pen comes with two replacement Pen
Tips. Pull out the used Tip and snap a replacement Tip
into place in the end of the Pen barrel.
Store the Interwrite Pen in the Pen Holder on the back
of the Interwrite Panel.
