34. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight in order
to be sure that the tractor and mowing attach-
ment are in safe working condition. Be sure the
broke and mowing attachment controls are
always in proper adjustment and repair. Check
the blade and engine mounting bolts at frequent
int~rvals
for proper tightness. Before performing
any maintenance, always place the blade con-
trol lever in the disengaged position, set the
parking brake, shift into neutral, shut off the
engine, make absolutely sure the blades and
all moving pa rts hove completely stopped,
remove the ignition key, disconnect the spark
plug wire from the spark plug(s) and keep it
away from the plug(s) to preven t inj ury or oc-
c idental starting .
35. Keep the engine free from accumulations of
grass, leaves or excessive grease as these
accumulations ore combustible and could ' re-
introduction
suit in o fire. Always keep your tractor and
mowing attachment in good operating cond it ion
and make sure that all shields, guards , plates
and other protective devices ore in place. Gi ve
your tractor and mowing attachment the regular
mai ntenance they need and hove a competent
serviceman make a thorough inspection of the
tra ctor and mowing attachment at lea st once a
year.
36. Do not store your tractor for prolonged periods
(more than 30 days) with gasoline in the tank.
Do not store your tractor or o gaso line con-
tain.er inside a building where fumes may reach
an open flame or spark, they should be stored
in a cool, dry place. Be sure to let the eng ine
cool before storing in any enclosure. A lways

ment and gasol ine container in locked storage
to prevent children from playing and tampering
with them.

Your new Rotary Mower Attachment utlizes multiple sharp cutting b lades rotating about vertical shafts with in the
housing. These blades rotate at 14,000 feet per minute . The blades sl ice gross at approximately 158 miles per hour
to provide a uniformly cut lawn . Gross clippings ore exhausted •h rough the mower discharge orec by the fast flow
of air created by the revolving blades .
The Rotary Mower has been shipped from the- factory partially assemb led, for shipping purposes. All ports necessary
to complete assembly ore included in plast ic bog within the carton. The bag of ports include the following items:
