.
Raising mower lift
lever
to
highest
position will
permi
t
access to blades
. Raising
front
of
tractor
upon blocks or substantial
support wi II
also aid
in replacement.
1.
Remove
the
two
hex head
Heat
Treated
bolts
(A), to
detach
old
blade
(B).
ALWAYS USE HEAT
TREATED
BOLTS
TO
ATTACH
BLADES.
2.
Install new
blade
with SHARP
EDGE DOWN
and secure
with two
Heat Treated
hex
bolts and
lockwashers
.

EN
SECURELY.

Check
blades
occasionally
to
make sure bolts
in
blades are
tight.

end of tractor using
Sears
riding
tractor
jack,
or
block up
each
front
whee

.
Be sure there
is
no
way tractor
can
fa II
off
blocks or
jack. Place
tractor
in
gear,
and set
parking brake. Clean
un-
derside
of mower
with
a
putty knife or sim
ilar
tool.
Mower
may be removed
from tractor
for cleaning.

clippings from
underside
of mower

mower after each mowing

Make sure
all
nuts
on
bolts
ore
tight
and
cotters
spread. Keep blades
sharp
.
Observe a II

precautions. Keep mower well
lubricated

YOUR TRACTOR
MOWER
IS
A
PRECISION
PIECE OF
POWER
EQUIPMENT, NOT
A
PLAYTHING.
THEREFORE,
EXERCISE EX-
TREME CAUTION AT
ALL
TIMES.
Do
not
operate the
tractor
in
high gear
going
down
hill,
and
do
not
turn
sharp
corners
while
going down hill. If it is
necessary to
stop
tractor
while going
down hill,
do so quickly to
prevent
tractor from pick
ing
up
speed
during the de-
clutching
to
braking
operation
.
NOTE:
The
engine
produces considerable
braking
acti
on
when throttled
bac
k
to idling
speed
with
out
de-
cl utch
ing, and
th
is
procedure
is recommended
before
applying brake.
