Basic Operations

Selecting the Kit:
1. Press the Cursor Up or Cursor Down buttons to highlight the kit number.
2. Press the Cursor Left or Cursor Right buttons to scroll through the available kits.
3. Hold down the Cursor Left or Cursor Right buttons to rapidly scroll through the kits.

Trigger Inputs:

SampleRack features 8 dual-zone trigger inputs and true hi-hat and kick pedal inputs. You can select a zone of each
trigger input for editing by striking that zone of the trigger, or highlighting the trigger location on the SampleRack
display screen and then pressing Cursor Left or Cursor Right. The following trigger locations can be edited for each
kit:
Input 1 – Labeled "Snare"

"SNR A" (This is the Snare Head)
•
"SNR B" (This is the Snare Rim)
Input 2 – Labeled "Tom 1"
•
"TOM1 A" (This is the Tom 1 Head)
•
"TOM1 B" (This is the Tom 1 Rim)
Input 3 – Labeled "Tom 2"
•
"TOM2 A" (This is the Tom 2 Head)
•
"TOM2 B" (This is the Tom 2 Rim)
Input 4 – Labeled "Tom 3"
•
"TOM3 A" (This is the Tom 3 Head)
•
"TOM3 B" (This is the Tom 3 Rim)
Input 5 – Labeled "Crash 1"

"CR1 A" (This is the Crash 1 Rim)
•
"CR1 B" (This is the Crash 1 Choke)
Input 6 – Labeled "Crash 2"
•
"CR2 A" (This is the Crash 2 Rim)
•
"CR2 B" (This is the Crash 2 Choke)
Input 7 – Labeled "Ride 1"

"RIDE A" (This is the Ride Bow)
•
"RIDE B" (This is the Ride Choke or Bell, depending on how your cymbal is configured)
Input 8 – Labeled "Hi-Hat"

"HH A OP" (This is the Hi-Hat Bow with the pedal in the open position)
•
"HH A MD" (This is the Hi-Hat Bow with the pedal in the middle position)
•
"HH A CL" (This is the Hi-Hat Bow with the pedal in the closed position)
•
"HH B OP" (This is the Hi-Hat Edge with the pedal in the open position)
•
"HH B MD" (This is the Hi-Hat Edge with the pedal in the middle position)
•
"HH B CL" (This is the Hi-Hat Edge with the pedal in the closed position)
Input Labeled "Hi-Hat Pedal"

"HH CHK" (This is when the user performs the "Chick" action by closing the hi-hat pedal)
•
"HH SPL" (This is when the user performs the "Splash" action by closing and opening the hi-hat pedal quickly)
Input Labeled "Kick"
•
"KICK" (This is the Kick trigger)
