Press the shutter button halfway to focus.
• The focus indication 1 (green) lights when the
subject is focused.
• The AF area 2 is displayed around the subject's
face by the Face Detection function. In other cases,
it is displayed at the point on the subject which is
in focus.
• The focus range is 5 cm (0.17 feet) (Wide)/
1.0 m (3.28 feet) (Tele) to 7.
• The maximum close-up distance (the shortest distance at which the subject can
be taken) differs depending on the zoom magnification.

Press the shutter button fully (push it in further), and take

the picture.

• Be careful not to move the camera when you press the shutter button.
• Do not cover the flash or the AF Assist Lamp with your fingers or other objects.
• Do not touch the front of the lens.

• When [e] or [r] is set, Digital Red-Eye Correction is activated.
