TRANSMISSION FOOTPEDAL (A Fig.4)
TRANSMISSION FOOTPEDAL (A Fig.4)
The transmission foot pedal is situated on the right
hand foot plate by the steering column cowl.
Push down on the front of the pedal for forward and
push down on the rear of the pedal for reverse drive.
The speed of the machine is increased by
depressing the pedal further down. The pedal will be
returned to the neutral position automatically when
the foot pressure is released. Maximum transport
speed of 25 km/h (15 mp/h) can only be achieved
with forward/reverse hydraulic cylinder drive lever (B
fig 6) in the neutral position. This prevents reverse
drive of the machine.
When the lever is moved out of the neutral position,
forward cutting speed of 0-12.5 km/h (0-7.5 mp/h) is
selected and reverse speed of 0-6 km/h (0-3.7 mp/h)
is available. The lever MUST NOT be moved unless
the machine is stationary.

PARKING BRAKE (A Fig. 5)
The parking brake lever is situated on the L.H side
of the steering column. To apply the parking brake
move the lever fully towards the operator seat. To
release the parking brake move the lever fully away
from the operators seat. The parking brake is
automatically applied when the engine is switched
off.

BRAKE RELEASE VALVE (A Fig 6)
The parking release valve is situated under the front
cover between the front two cutting units. For
normal working the lever should be positioned so
that the micro switch is depressed.

DRIVE LEVER (B Fig.6)
The forward/reverse hydraulic cylinder drive lever is
situated on the operators left hand side to the rear of
the hydraulic tank.
The drive to the cutting cylinders is controlled by this
lever and to engage forward drive the lever should
be moved down to give normal rotation for cutting,
or moved up for reverse rotation, for backlapping or
clearing cylinders. For the neutral position the lever
should be central.

MOW FOOT PEDAL (B Fig 8)
The mow foot pedal is used to engage cutting
cylinder drive when the cutting units have been
lowered to the ground and the forward/reverse
hydraulic cylinder drive lever is in the engaged
position.
FREEWHEEL CONTROL (A Fig 9)
The freewheel control valve is provided to allow the
machine to be moved when the engine is stationary.
The control valve is situated under the front cover
between the front two cutting units.
