USING THE VARIOUS SHOOTING FUNCTIONS

Make the setting.
<If aperture and shutter variable program AE Ï is
selected>
œ The setting changes to aperture and shutter variable
program AE, and the camera returns to the Shooting
Setting Screen.
<If aperture priority AE Î is selected>
œ The display to set the aperture size appears.
œ Turn the jog dial to set the desired aperture size.
<If shutter speed priority AE Ì is selected>
œ The display to set the shutter speed appears.
œ Turn the jog dial to set the desired shutter speed.
<If manual exposure control Í is selected>
œ The display to set the aperture size and shutter speed
appears.
œ Press j or l on the arrow button to select aperture size
or shutter speed, and turn the jog dial to change the
setting.

Select the C icon, and press the SET button.
œ The display returns to the Shooting Setting Screen.
HELP
If you have difficulty in accessing the exposure control menu
œ For dynamic range magnification mode shooting (see page 71), the exposure control method is
set to Ï and the exposure control menu cannot be selected.
NOTE
œ If the aperture value is set to F10 or higher, the resolution of the shot picture may be slightly
reduced.
œ Slow shutter speed makes shooting pictures in darker locations possible, however, image noise
may increase.
