Select a color icon (í to Í) to adjust, and turn the
jog dial.
œ The hue setting changes. (Can be set within a maximum
range of +50 to –50)
œ Adjust the hue while watching on the LCD monitor.
The characters to the left and right of the hue setting value
indicate the color change. In the example illustrated at right,
the indicated setting changes magenta to red hues (í).
When set to a – value, magenta changes to blue hues (î).

Press c on the arrow button to select the saturation setting, and turn the jog dial to
adjust the setting.
œ The saturation setting changes. (set between +50 and –50.)
œ To change the settings for other colors, press j or l on the arrow button to select another
color, and then repeat steps 4 and 5.

Select the ù icon, and press the SET button.
œ This completes the color adjustment setting.
œ The display returns to the Shooting Option Setting screen.
œ The color adjustment settings are retained even if the main switch is set to Ô or
"MONITOR OFF", or if the camera is turned off.
œ You can display and confirm the color adjustment setting by pressing the info button during
shooting (see page 37).
NOTE
About the hue setting
œ The hue setting is shown for each separate color--red, yellow, green, blue etc. The hue can be
set within a maximum range of +50 to –50. But the actual range that can be set is limited
depending on the other hue settings of a corrected color.
Example: If the Í hue is set to +20, the – side range for the í hue setting goes only up to
–30.
About the saturation setting
œ The saturation setting specifies the degree of color brilliance. When the saturation setting is set
to the + side, the colors are more vivid; on the – side they are more smoky. When set to –50,
the color has no saturation and it become monochrome.
HINT
To select previously set color correction settings
œ Follow steps 1 to 3, select the ù icon, and press the SET button. Imagining various scenes,
you can store suitable color correction settings in each of the icons ô to õ beforehand.
You can then select the icon suitable for the scene you are photographing to quickly change to
the optimum color correction settings.
To cancel color correction settings (return to the initial settings)
œ Follow steps 1 and 2, select the ú icon, and press the SET button. (The settings in icons ô
to õ will be retained.)
