1.Remove al! metal utensilsfrom the dishwasher.
2. Do not add detergent.
3. SelectPotscrubber c ycle(if modelso equipped), o therwiseselectnormalcycle.
4. Start the dishwasherandaiiow to run for 15to 20 minutes.Thedishwasher wiil
now be in the mainwash.
5. Thenopenthe door and pour2 cups(500ml)of white vinegarinto the bottomof
the dishwasher.
6. Closethe door and allow to completethe cycle.

Teaor coffeecan stain cups. Remove the stains by hand,usinga solution of lA cup
bleachand3 cups warmwater.
An overallye!lowor brownfilm on dishesor glasswarecan be causedby iron
depositsin water.A special filter in the water supply line is the only way to correct
this problem.Yourwater softenercompanycan tell you about the filter.
Yellowfilm on sterling silver results whenyou washcopperutensils in the same
load.Silverpolish will usually removethis stain.
Roughhandlingcan causechipping.Loadwith care.Makesureglasswareand china
are secureand can't jar loose.(Seepages4 & 5 for correct way to load glassware.)
Makesuretall glassesand stemwarewill ciear the top of the tub whenyou pushthe
rack into the dishwasher.
Always usethe top rack for delicate items.
UseChina-Crystal c yc!e(on models so equipped)for fine china.
Water aroundthe outlet on the tub bottom at the back of the tub is normal.It is
clean water.It's there to keepthe water seal lubricated.
If the entire bottom of the tub has water,you may havea drain problem.Cleanthe
air gap, if you haveone.(Seepage9.)
Checkthe kitchen sink. Is it draining well? Youmay needa plumber.

from the tub:
Openthe dishwasher.Let suds evaporate.Add 1
gallon of cold water to the tub. Close and latch the dishwasher.Pumpout water by
slowly turning the control dial until a drain period is reached.
Repeat,if necessary.
